Catherine Marchand was the daughter of Nicholas Marchand and Marie Gallot.
The Marchand home is one of the landmarks in New Orleans. Its unusual stairway has attracted
widespread attention. The home is located on 830 Royal Street in New Orleans and is not open
to the public.
