8/8/1809 Land sale. Alexandre Declouet sold to Pierre Nezat a tract of land on the east bank of the Teche, having a front on the bayou measuring 25 arpents, bounded above by the vendor and below by Maitre and David.

3/18/1811 Mathieu Bujac, a New Orleans Merchant, acting for himself and for his partner John Stephen David, curators of the estate of Pierre Robin, sold to Amand Broussard a slave and his wife. Price $1,375.00.

5/16/1816 Before Michel d'Armas, New Orleans notary public, appeared John Stephen David, a New Orleans merchant, and Amable B. Charbonnet, possessing power of attorney of Mathieu Bujac. David and Charbonnet were acting on behalf of the former commercial house known as Mr. Bujac and J.S. David. They maned Alexandre Porter of Attakapas to be their attorney in collecting from persons in that area all debts owed to Bujac and David, especially that owed by Alexandre Landry.

5/17/1817 Louis Lingois, attorney for Alexandre Charles Landry, late of the county of Attakapas, and Alexander Porter, Jr. representing Mathieu Bujac and Stephen David of New Orleans, agreed to the following stipulations: Bujac and David held Landry's notes dated July 5, 1813 for the sum of $1,244.50, which was payable on December 15,1814, Landry being unable to pay the money agreed to transfer to Bujac and David the following property: a tract of land on the west side of the Bayou Teche, beginning at the bayou and running up the bayou 192 feet, from thence parallel with the line of said Martin 520 ft. being in a westward direction, thence parallel westward with the aforesaid line of Martin 433 ft, from then parallel with the bayou to the aforesaid line of Martin, being the same which Landry rented from Henry Pintard for the space of 8 years. Landry also delivered to Bujac and David the dwelling house and kitchen found on the above-described property; also a slave named Therese 35 years, also to deliver to Bujac and David a note of Raymond Francois, payable February 1817, for $244.50.

7/28/1809 Statement of Nicolas Dauvergne, a resident of Cuba, came before Judge Saint Martin to state that he embarked on a boat in New Orleans on July 26 to go to LaFourche. Aboard the boat with him was Daniel LeComte and a free mulatto, Causse Bremont. In the vicinity of Mme Masicot's farm he spotted a trunk on the bank of the river. He trunk was locked. He took the trunk to Francois Lucy's inn and left it there. This was done in the presence of Augez Ladarchie and Jean David.
