TheBelievingWomenofIslam(Al-Muminaat)

In The Name of Allah The Beneficent The Merciful,I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

The Quran has been brought to mankind for guidance back to ones Rabb(Lord) and Prophet Muhammad (salalahu alayhi was salaam)was sent as a Prophet to guide the whole of mankind back to worshipping One God(Allah). We are to Obey Allah and His commandments that were laid down in the Quran. We are to Obey Muhammad(salalahu alayhi was salaam)His Sunnah.

Sisters welcome to the Believing Woman here I will discuss what characteristics makes a "Believing Woman".Just saying that you are a muslim is not enough we should always strive to do better and be better in our Ibaadah.Being a believer should be our goal in this life , nothing around us should take us out of focus in accomplishing such a great treasure.Allah speaks none other but to the believers when it comes to a great reward in the HearAfter The Jannah(Paradise) Allah says in the QuranSurahMaryam:107..Verily those who believe and do righteous deeds, shall have the Gardens of Paradise for their entertainment.

I now will discuss the characteristics of the "BelievingWoman". Believing In Allah And ProphetMuhammad(saw) This our foundation belief in Islam we must Obey Allah and Obey the Messenger one does not go without thee other.Allah says in the Quran {SurahAl-Imran:132}, And obey Allah and the Messenger(saw) that you may have mercy. This is the first pillar in Islam .Allah has revealed to His Messenger Muhammad(saw) that He is Alone ,He is the One who is turned to in repentance, ever Eternal and Perfect, absolutely faultless. He (Allah) did not give birth nor was He Born. There is No deity other than Him.Surah Al-Ikhlas, Say ,"He is Allah"the One" The Self-Sufficient Master,Whom all creatures need. "He begets not, nor was He begotten."And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him."..He is Alive ,Ever-Living; He sustains and Protects all that exists. He does not tire or become weary ; He is the Owner and complete Sovereign of all. His knowledge encompassess everything; and He is completely Knowledgeable about a thing before He creates it, knowing the how of the thing and all of its conditions and stipulations, including its duration of existence. He has complete control over everything and nothing happens except by His Permission. His Footstool(Kursi);and He is Above His Throne. He is the High and the Mighty. He is the First and the Last,The Highest,The Nearest, and the Knower of all things.Supan'Allah..He is Ever-Living,without end.He is the Wise, the Well Acquainted...

This is what it means to believe in Allah(swt)Being aware that Allah is Almighty and we are His servants who worship none other but Him.We must have complete Tauheed in our Hearts and our Aqeedah. We are also to Obey the Messenger Muhammad(saw). It is not just Obligatory to Obey Allah alone we must Obey Muhammad (saw). The Quran&Sunnah goes hand&hand we cannot follow one without thee other.Allah(swt) commands us in The Quran about this.{Surah Al-Nisa:59}, O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (saw)and those of you (muslims)who are in authority.(And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger(saw), if you believe in Allah and the Last Day.That is better and more suitable.{Al-Nisa:80}, He who obeys the Messenger(saw) has indeed obeyed Allah, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you (O Muhammad(saw),as a watcher over them.{SurahAl-Nur:51-52}, The only saying of the faithful believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger(saw) ,to judge between them is that they say"We hear and obey".And such are the successful(who will live forever in Paradise). And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger(saw),fears Allah, and keeps his duty (ToHim),such are the successful.Sisters... These are just a few of Allah's words telling us to Obey Him and Obey Muhammad(saw) .

The believing woman hears and obey and follows none other than what has been laid down by his Rabb(Lord)In the Quran&Sunnah.Sisters...A believer goes beyond the minimum requirements of faith and fulfills all of the necessary as well as obligatory aspects of the faith, then he has moved from the lower levels of imaan to a higher level. This is the level in which he fulfills all of the obligatory aspects of imaan. This is where he fulfills the description of the true believers as given in the Quran&Sunnah. If a person fulfills the obligations upon him with respect to faith and submission to Allah and avoids the forbidden acts, then he will never enter the Hell-Fire; he deserves to be called a believer in an absolute sense..He is the one who fulfills the description of the true Believers as found in the Quran. He is the one who embodies the following characteristics:"The {true} believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned feel a fear in their hearts and when His verses are recited to them, they increase their faith. And they put their trust in their Lord. Those who establish the prayer and spend out of what We have provided them"{al-Anfal,2-3}. Allah also says: "Certainly it is they are who are the true believers. For them are grades of dignity with their Lord, and Forgiveness and a generous provisions."{al-Anfal,4}.

Establishing&havingHumilityinSalaat

Salaat is extremely important for us without establishing salaat we are not considered muslim In( Maryam,59-60)Allah Most High says "Then there has succeeded them a generation which has given up prayers(i.e, made their prayers to be lost ,either by not offering them at all or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times).and have followed lust.So they will be thrown in hell. Except those who repent and believe in the Oneness of Allah and His Messenger(saw), and act righteously. In( Surah Al-Maa'oon4-5)Woe unto those performers of prayers (hyporcrites) who are unmindful of their prayers(i.e.,delay their prayers from its stated fixed time).(Al-Munafiqoon- 9)O you believe! Let not your properties or your children divert you from the rememberance of Allah. And whosoever does that, then they are the losers.

It is incumbent upon us to make our daily salaat,we must not fail in doing that which is obligatory on all muslims. It is the cornerstone in seeking aid, repentance and guidance from Allah. This is our communication to Allah. It is the first thing we will be questioned about on the day of Judgement."The first thing which will be judged among a man's deeds on the Day of resurrection is the Prayer. If this is in good order then he will succeed and prosper but if it is defective then he will fail and will be a loser".{Naasaa'ee.Tirmidthi,IbnMajah}.(Surah Al-Muddaththir,42-48).The people in the Hell will be asked :)What has caused you to enter Hell? They will say:We were not among those who used to pray.Nor did we feed the poor. And we used to talk falsehood(allthat which Allah hated) with vain-talkers.And we used to belie the Day of Recompense.Until there came to us that which is certain(i.e.,death).So no Intercession of intercessors will benefit them.

The Prophet (saw) said,The convenant between us and them is prayer,so if anyone abandons it he has become a disbeliever.{Ahmad,Tirmithi,Nasaa'ee}He the Prophet(saw) also said ;What lies between a man and disbelief is the abandonment of prayer{ibnMajah.AbuDawud,Nass'ee} As clearly we can see Salaat is thee most important Ibaadah in Islam. We must not be neglectful in Establishing our salat.(SurahBaraqah,238)Guard strictly(five obligatory)the prayers especially the middle salat And stand before Allah with obedience.having Having Humility in Salaat is very important because this is the time where are supposed to get in tuned with our Creator.(Mu'minoon,1-2)"Successful indeed are the believers. Those who offer their Prayers with humility and attentiveness(khushoo)".Allah says in (surah 4:103)"Verily the Prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours."(Surah,2:45-46)"And seek help in patience and(theprayers) and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for the true believers in Allah, those who obey Allah with full submission, fear much from His punishment, and believe in His Promise(Paradise) and in His Warnings(Hell). They are those who are certain that they are going to meet their Lord, and that unto him they are going to return." Allah ,the Most High, has described the attributes of the possessors of khushoo' and that they are those who are certain that they are going to meet their Lord, the One free and far removed from all imperfections and that they will return to Him.

Coming to Salat in a good time

It is important to come to the prayer early so that your desire to reach the prayer does not cause you to have to hurry.from Abu Hurairah(ra),who said that Allah's Messenger (saw) said:When the iqaamah for the prayer is given then do not run to it but come to it with calmness. Then pray whatever you reach and make up whatever you miss, since when one of you is proceeding to the prayer he is infact in prayer."(SahihMuslim)

The Excellence of the prayer and its wiping away of Sin and Evil deeds

From Abu Hurairah(ra), who said that I heard Allah's Messenger(saw)say:Do you think that if there was a river at the door of one of you and be bathed in it five times a day, would any dirt remain upon him? They said:No dirt would remain upon him.He said: That is how it is with the five daily prayers, through them Allah washes away sins.(sahihBuhkari)

The Blessings In Performing Qiyaamul-Layl

If the muslim seriously considered SurahMuzammil he would find the greatest understanding in it,since Allah, the One free and far removed from all defects and the Most High, ordered the Messenger of Allah(saw) to establish the Night Prayer when he was in a very difficult situation, and he (saw) was in the direst need of help and assistance. Allah says in the Quran"O you wrapped in garments (i.e)ProphetMuhammad(saw)! Stand to pray all night, except a little.{73,1-2} We must structure our minds and hearts to desire to make the Night Prayer.Understanding that Allah loves the one who worships Him when everyone else is asleep, the believer implemnents that which was established by the Prophet(saw) as something great in the sight of Allah. The Night Prayer is the best Prayer after our Obligatory prayers. It is so great that once upon a time the Nightprayer was considered obligatory!!!! Until Allah the Merciful made it optional. The night prayer used to be an obligation upon the Prophet(saw) and His Companions(ra) as occured in this long hadith from Zuraarah(ra)...and in it occurs...she [Aa'ishah] said "Do yu [i.e.Sa'd ibn Hisham not recite: "O you wrapped in garments(i.e. Prophet Muhammad(saw). I said :"Indeed yes "She said:"Then Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, obligated the Night Prayer at the beginning of this Surah. So the Prophet (saw) and his companions observed it for a year, and Allah withheld the end of it for twelve months in the heavens, until Allah sent down the conclusion of the Surah when the duty was eased and the Night Prayer became optional after having been an obligation.{SahihMuslim}.

Supan'Allah ...It is evident that indeed there is great rewards and benefits in performing the NightPrayer. It makes your heart firm in belief, and it further strenghtens them.It is the hidden success that everyone does'nt see or feel. You must want to change, grow in sweet emaan and Love Allah enough that doing NightPrayers is right for that believer ,it becomes apart of their daily worship. The NightPrayer causes the believer to abstain from sins and evil actions. It cause the believer to be joined to do righteousness and be amongst the righteous. It raises the believer to alevel of a sincee worshipper.

From Abu Hurairah(ra) ,that Allah'sMessenger(saw) said:The best fast after Ramadan is in Allah's month of Muharram,and the best Prayer after the obligatory prayer is the Night prayer.{SahihMuslim}

From Jaabir(ra),who said that I heard Allah's Messenger (saw) say; Indeed in the night there is an hour which no muslim man encounters whilst asking Allah for the good of this world and the Hearafter except that He give it to him , and that is every night.{SahihMuslim}.

From Abu Umaamah al -Baahilee(ra),that Allah's Messenger(saw) said: Perform the NightPrayer, for it was the practice of pious before you,and draws one near to Allah ,the MostHigh and is an expiation of sins and a prevention of evil deeds.{Tirmithi}.

From AbuHurairah, and AbuSa'eed(ra) who both said that Allah'sMessenger(saw)said: If a man wakes his wife at night and they both pray two ra'kahs together, then they are written amongst those men and women who remember Allah.{AbuDawud}.

FearingAllah

Fearing Allah is something the believer does with ease ,he's forever most conscious of his actions. The believer does not want to displease his Lord and he fears the punishment that Allah can place on him in this life and the Hearafter. He always guards his actions. He tries to abstain from doing evil deeds and do that which is good and pleasing to His Lord. Surely those who live in awe out of fear of their Lord, and those who believe in the signs of their Lord, and those who do not associate partners with their Lord in their worship, and those who give what they give with fear in their hearts because they are returning to their Lord it is these who hasten to do good, and in this they are foremost{23;57-61}. Guidance and mercy for those who fear their Lord.{7:154} Surely those of His servants who know fear Allah{35:28} Allah also says: Their rewards is with their Lord,Gardens of Eden underneath which rivers flow wherein they will dwell forever; Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him; this is for whoever fears his Lord{98:8}. Allah has commanded His servants to fear Him and has made belief conditional upon fear. He, Glorious and Mighty is He says: Fear Me if you are believers.{3:175} Then he (saw) said, "I see what you do not see and I hear what you do not hear. Heaven has groaned and it has a right to groan.By him in Whose hand my soul is, there is not a space of even four fingers width in which there is not an angel who prostrates his forehead before Allah.I swear by Allah that if you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much, and you would not take delight in women but you would go out to an open space and call on allah for help, I wish I were a tree that could be cut down and cease to exist."{SahihBuhkari}.

This hadith explains to us that if we knew as much as the Prophet(saw) knew about the Might of Allah and His retribution for whoever disobeys,Him, then our weeping and grief and fear for what might await us would be long lasting. We might never laugh at all.

Love of Allah

Having love for Allah is thee most important characteristic a believer can have. Without this Love, one cannot Fear His Lord, and do what pleases Him and abstain from sins and evil deeds. This kind of love is something that Allah wants His servant to have. When you love Allah you have Complete Reliance on Allah, you have Hope in Allah, you have Sincerity,Gradtitude and Perseverance . Allah says: And whatever good you have its from Allah; and then when misfortune comes to you, you cry to Him for help{16:53}. And from among mankind ther are some who take for themselves (objects of worship as) rivals to Allah, loving who believe are stronger in their love for Allah.{2:165}. O you who believe, whoever of you becomes a rebel against his deen (know that in his place) Allah will bring a people whom He loves and who loves Him, humble towards the believrs, harsh towards the disbelievers, fighting in the way of Allah and not fearing the blame of anyone who blames.{5:54}.

The Prophet(saw) has sworn that no servant truly believes until he may Allah bless him and grant him peace,is more dear to that servant than his own child.father, and all of mankind.{SahihBuhkari}.

Loving Allah The Exalted, He is worthy of remeberance, gratitude, worship and praise. He is the most generous to be asked ,he is most liberal to give.He is the most merciful to pardon. He is the mightiest to assist and the Most Dependable to rely on.Allah is truly AllahuAkbar, He is the Greatest none has the right to be Loved more. He is The Unique ,Who has no equal.

Love of Allah the All Mighty gives life to the heart and sustains the soul. The heart experiences no pleasures, nor feels any joy, nor tastes any success, not even life ,if it does not have this love for Allah. Do not loose this love of Allah for truly one will be among the losers in this Life and the Hearafter. If the heart is empty with no Love for its Creator,Source, True God, then the body contains no soul completely lifeless, dead, like a walking corpse.Lets not be of those who do not Love the Creator Allah... " Lets be of those who Love Allah so much that we find no other pleasure in life and does not neglect remembering Allah for an instant."

Abu Hurairah(ra) who said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said , "Allah (swt) has said,"Whoever displays enmity towards a friend of Mine, I shall be at war with him.My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more loved by Me than what I have made fard for him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with nawafil until I loved him and when I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears ,and his seeing with which he sees, and his hand with which he grasps, and his foot with which he walks, and if he were to ask of Me,I would surely give it to him, and if he were to ask of Me, I would surely give it to him, and if he were to ask Me for refuge,I would surely grant him it."{SahihBuhkari}.

" Masha'Allah sisters we have read some of the most important aspects of what encompasses in being a Believing Woman. What pleases our Lord&What displeases Him. Insha'Allah with making a sound effort we can become a Believing Woman.Lets be more like the Sahabiyyats who indeed had all these characteristics they were the best of women Allah created.Lets strive on the SuratulMustaqeem.Lets be of those believers who will dwell in Paradise forever.Lets love each other for the sake of Allah,Lets Help each other in the time of need, Lets make du'a for each other.Lets want for our sisters what we want for ourself.Ameen"!!!!

"May Allah be pleased with what I have said correct and forgives me for what I may have not said correct.Ameen"
